Mole, Ratty, Badger and Toad are heading to Kingston’s Rose Theatre for Christmas, with The Wind in the Willows running from Wednesday 25 November 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027.
The Rose Theatre production is a new festive adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s novel by Rob Evans, with music by John Biddle and direction by Owen Horsley. A professional cast will perform alongside the Rose Youth Theatre.
A Christmas adventure at Toad Hall
The story follows the riverside friends as Chief Weasel’s plans threaten their world. Mole must find the courage to help save Toad Hall before Christmas, while Toad’s behaviour puts the friendships under strain.
The theatre lists an approximate running time of two hours, including an interval. Its age guidance is five and above, although all ages are welcome. Children under 14 must be accompanied in the auditorium by a responsible person over 16.
